Why? Why now, why them?

I have several post ready to post and actually planned to post today but life happens so here ya go.

Grief is hard.
Today, I asked God WHY?
Why have so many young people in my life been taken so early.
Sometimes I feel that others in the outside world don’t see that and that’s okay.
Yet, I remember ever since middle school we lost two boys to joyriding, we lost a student while in band class. That was a big thing.
On to high school a few people. Then my junior year a dear friend went home after battling cancer.

In college, several students in  my entire school yet it seemed to hit the class above me lost their battle so expected yet many unexpected.

after graduating, I’ve lost both my grandmothers, a college roommate. Many unexpected.  In the past six months we’ve lost Botham, ZP, MJ and now AW. Many, many more but these are just what come to mind.

What do we learn from all this?
AM, had a joy and laughter that was spunky and sweet. Yet she was stubborn but a artistic gem.

Sometimes, we get hit with grief sometimes expected other times not as we sit and come to terms we think about those unexpected.

Botham loved people, he loved singing. Yet he loved you for you, no matter the beef.

ZP always had this spunk to him, he may have been short but he had a drive that was always fun to look after.

MJ, had a kindred spirit and joy that anyone who knew her had and even those who didn’t know her. I didn’t know her personally but had one interaction my last semester of undergrad. Yet, she had an impact on many people I knew.

Today, AW, you had a spunk, a smile a joy, a heart for your kids, your family to make education better. What did all three of these teach me to live in the now, you don’t know what tomorrow will bring.

We may always have questions but I sit here in the present, living in the now.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
 Romans‬ ‭8:28‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“While we are mourning the loss of our friend, others are rejoicing to meet him behind the veil.“
