Friendships
These past few weeks God has given me the real view of what a real friendship is. It is not a friend who acts to be your friend to just to be nice. A true friend is there for you no matter what happens. I thought over the years I have had true friends but I came to realize they may be good friends but not the real true friends that I have began to form these past few weeks. These relationships that I am beginning to make go way past the outside they go way into the spiritual aspect. I have learned that I will always have someone there for me and its okay to cry it out and talk it out. Don’t be afraid to let someone close to you know how you feel because when you say it out loud it helps a lot and you can process your thoughts easier. Just as it says in Ecclesiastes 4:9-12, “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up, But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not broken” Two friends are a lot better than one who is all alone. I am so thankful to have the friends I have, I really have grown a lot and they have been helping me a lot by shining God’s light on others and myself. I don’t know how to thank every single person that has helped me and I want to continue to help you and grow as siblings as Christ. I also feel that God has really shown me how to turn friendships around to get back on track, I have had several really bad friendships lately but we both have turned around and grew, we got over the differences that we have because we know God made us differently for a reason now our friendship is growing. I also have a group of really strong friends who are my prayer partners; they really help me get through the day and week. I would really encourage you to get a group of your Christian friends to be your prayer partner and also have one person be your accountability partner to make sure that you do what you need to do, for example have your accountability partner make sure you did your devotionals, read your bible, had time with God, and did your homework. I would highly recommend it I was hesitant at first because I am not someone to share some deep things with people but it has helped a lot and I feel a lot better not having to keep it all inside and wanting to explode.
Love you all, Hope you make wise decisions with friendships and relationships, remember ask God before you rush into the decision. Let me know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, and also prayer requests.
