Quick to listen, Slow to Speak

This is going to be short but I was going to write something else and I probably will add it tomorrow but I was listening to my iPod and “Prayer for a friend” by Casting Crowns came on. I have been struggling for a while of carrying other people’s problems and giving it all to our Heavenly Father. It has gotten better since Winter Rush but I have been faced with some major crisis with my friends and family lately. I have tried to rely on His word but it has been hard then I have had my friends who have helped me tremendously but today when I was cleaning and this song came on it really hit home and made me realize that I really need to give it all to Him. You don’t want the little things or problems of your friends or even yourself to beat you to death into small pieces. Because if you do you will turn into a complete mess. Tell a trusted friend how you feel, write it out, or something but be careful with your anger as it says in James 1:19-21, “My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, for man’s anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires. Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.” Do not get mad at your parents, do not get angry because you are holding on to something that is about you or may not be about you but it is hurting you deeply. Give it ALL to him. Listen and read these lyrics very carefully. Here it is:

Also, while I am writing this “Start Somewhere” by TobyMac came on and it made me realize you need to start somewhere and straighten everything out but God is there for each and everyone of us. You’ll better understand when you listen and read the lyrics to this song. Every single lyric is how I feel right now, I hope you listen to it, these are powerful words. We need our Heavenly Father always.

Any prayer requests?
Love you all! Be strong, have faith, He is ALWAYS there for you.
